The Camerons of Mounstberg
The Camerons of Mountsberg
In the early 1800s, Archibald Cameron and his family settled in
what would become Mountsberg. Life was tough, but with determination, they
cleared the forests and welcomed other settlers, turning the area into a
thriving community.
Years later, the Railway planned a track straight through the
Camerons’ land. Despite the initial protests, Archibald saw opportunity. The
railway divided their property, but it also connected Mountsberg to other
villages. Through it all, the Camerons' love for family and community remained
the heart of their legacy, binding their town together for generations to come.
